MICHAEL J. TOOLAN joined the firm of Conway, Farrell, Curtin & Kelly in July, 1997. He is a litigator primarily involved in the defense of negligence actions involving premises and automobile liability, commercial litigation and construction site accident cases. Mr. Toolan’s clients include Verizon Communications, Inc. and its subsidiaries. He received his undergraduate degree from Fordham College in 1967 and law degree in 1970 from St. John’s University School of Law.

Mr. Toolan began his career in 1970 as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office assigned to investigations and trials in the Homicide Bureau. From 1975 to 1978, he was a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the New York State Attorney General’s Office of Special Prosecutor for Nursing Homes. In 1978, Mr. Toolan joined the Litigation Department of the then New York Telephone Company as a Trial Attorney. During that time, he investigated and tried to verdict numerous cases involving various areas of Verizon business-related activities. From 1997 to the present, Mr. Toolan continues to primarily represent Verizon in litigated matters as a member of Conway, Farrell, Curtin & Kelly.
