MATTHEW S. MATERA is an attorney in the firm’s Manhattan office. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Environmental Studies and Political Science, with a minor in Economics. In 2001, he received his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law. At St. John’s he participated in moot court and was a finalist at the 2000 Frank J. Rogers Mock Trial Competition and quarterfinalist at the 2000 Kaufman Moot Court Competition.
Mr. Matera began his legal career with the law firm of Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. and practiced in its litigation departments handling products liability matters, automotive and construction cases, and premises liability matters.
Mr. Matera is admitted to the bar for the states of New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the United States District Court of New Jersey. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York County Bar Associations.
At Conway Farrell, Mr. Matera practices with the firm's litigation department, primarily representing Verizon in various litigated matters.
