Kevin Kelly, until recently, was a Managing Partner at Conway Farrell. He co-chaired the firm’s Construction Litigation and General/Complex Tort and Trial Practice Units. While he has passed the firm’s management to others, Kevin remains extremely active in the legal field and continues to litigate significant exposure cases as Special Trial Counsel to Conway Farrell.
Kevin has been recognized by his peers as an exceptional and highly experienced trial attorney in New York State. He is a Past President of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Defense Research Institute, a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Defense Association of New York (DANY) and a past president (1991-92). Kevin was the Chairman of DANY’s Continuing Legal Education Committee and the founder of its trial seminar series. He is the 2015 recipient of DANY’s prestigious James S. Conway Award for outstanding service to the defense community. Kevin has written and lectured in the areas of trial practice, construction litigation, and on significant changes in the Civil Practice Law and Rules of the State of New York.
As Special Counsel to the firm, Kevin continues to specialize in trial practice, construction litigation and property damage claims litigation.
